Hobbies and Interests
My Garage:
I love spending time in my garage, lately restoring vintage motocross bikes. There's several classic bikes lined up in my project list. There's also a '54 Packard my son and I work on. It doesn't end there, many different projects pass through the work space.
RV Camping/Traveling:
In January 2013, my wife and son had a moment of insanity and bought an RV on eBay. So now we are the proud owners of a Fleetwood Fiesta 31H. As a class A motorhome, it has all the creature comforts of home. Until the RV, camping meant a backpack, a canoe and a tent. We've already put 2,000 miles on her between MD, VA, PA, DE and NJ.
We've camped several times with my brother, Dan, and his family who are avid campers. Dan restored a classic Airstream. See his restoration at http://197519751975airstream.blogspot.com.
Sailing:
Of course, I still enjoy sailing. Although I haven't done it nearly as much as I'd like lately. Our Catalina 30 is currently stored in Perryville, suffering from an engine with a cracked block (yes, that's another project in the garage). My wife, kids and I spent considerable time working on her refit/restoration, and we still have a lot to do. See Catalina Restoration for details.
Entertainment:
The wife and I enjoy heading out for an evening sometimes and enjoy live music and a good game of pool. While travelling we always try to find local restaurants that encompass the spirit of the town we’re visiting.
